Sam is an old man. He can remember when the internet was just green text on a small black screen. He can remember when Mosaic, the first graphical web browser, arrived and when he subsequently learned HTML by reading the Netscape 1.0 documentation. He claims to have invented the single-pixel-gif. The point is, Sam has been designing and building web sites, doohickeys and thingamajigs for practically as long as the web has existed.
Sam is truly a rare bird. Above and beyond his capacity for heinous facial hair growth - which is a marvel to behold - he possesses an oddly balanced brain that allows him to be as aesthetically astute as he is logical. The result is that he has become an adept software engineer as well as an accomplished graphic artist. There are very few who bridge that gap.
Sam's prior career history includes many years of freelancing as well as web developer/designer positions at the Colby College Office of New Media, Techknowledge, and Xwave New England. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and, aside from a childhood full of art classes, is largely self-taught in the field of graphic design. Today, Sam is focused on making Big Room the premier web solutions provider in New England - to the extent that anyone so multi-dimensional (and modest) could be focused on any one thing.
