BRS Team Coaches Statewide Hackathon

Last weekend our team had the great pleasure of coaching and judging the CBBHacks Hackathon, a NESCAC-wide hackathon that included college students from all backgrounds who were attending Colby, Bates, Bowdoin, and UMaine Orono. While some of the students were Computer Science majors, there were a ton of enthusiastic non-majors who got a crash course in development Friday night and implemented a huge range of technologies from Natural Language Processing tools to Node.js and prototyping as a part of their final projects.

So impressive!

Big Room Studios offered an internship as a prize to the team who implemented Node.js or React Native into their projects. We were impressed by all the teams and are looking forward to interviewing the students who qualified for the internship prize.

Thanks so much to everyone at Colby College, for inviting us to be a part of the weekend!
